So this is a nice idea. Cult Japanese gear company Snow Peak has developed a line of cotton basics that use up scraps and off-cuts of material from their own manufacturing processes. At the end of each season, all the cutting scraps are broken down into yarn and worked into the raw materials for the next drop of sweaters, hoodies and joggers. These no-fuss cotton sweatpants, for example, are made from 20% recycled material – and they’re the kind of comfy staple you’ll find yourself going back to time after time. They’re heavily pre-washed to prevent unsightly pilling and fading, with an elasticated drawstring waist that makes them perfect for slouching around when you’ve over-indulged in a campfire cook-up
